Irene Chapski’s love for culinary started at a very young age. Growing up her grandmother’s love of food and baking along with her mother’s skills in the kitchen were passed along to her. She loved being in the kitchen and around food and this led to her first job as dishwasher at a local restaurant in Winnipeg, The Red Top. Irene fell in love with the rush of this fast paced environment and spent a number of years working on her skills in their kitchen.
Irene then spent 4 years working at another local gem, Niakwa Pizza. She continued to challenge herself and allowing herself to grow in her profession. After taking a few years off while pursuing a number of other goals and interests, her true love and passion for food brought her back to home in a kitchen. She started back at Hermanos Restaurant and Wine Bar and was soon promoted to Sous Chef.
Irene joined Carnaval in 2016 where her passion for life, creating new dishes and expanding her culinary talents continue each and every day. Irene loves her job, the team she works with and of course creating new and exciting dishes for her customers.
